In May 2014, Harper’s BAZAAR invited 72 Smalldive director and brand representative to its inaugural showcase of designs of 8 top emerging designers from South East Asia. These designers were competitors in the magazine’s talent scouting competition Harper’s BAZAAR Next Generation Designers’ Award. The regional winner from Malaysia was also awarded the prize of a Master’s Degree scholarship in London, and all finalists were given the chance to showcase their works in all 4 editions of Harper’s BAZAAR around the region. The first competition was a success and the magazine is inviting participants to its second edition.

For the second year, 72 Smalldive believes that it would be an equally fruitful experience and journey for strong designer talents to showcase their works through this platform. The regional winner this year would be awarded a Master’s Degree scholarship at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni, get their works featured in all 4 editions of Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, showcase their winning collection on a runway show during a fashion week and get to sell their featured pieces on Harper’s BAZAAR e-commerce platform.

Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore is now collecting submissions for the competition and ViTRINE’s team strongly urges young designers to consider submitting the competition application for the forthcoming contest. The rules to submission may be read from the image below. For more questions regarding the competition, please visit the magazine’s fan page on Facebook
